Of Montreal slideshow

Photo slideshow from the headliner show by Of Montreal, at Norman Music Festival 4-25-2009. The song is the song that Of Montreal played for their encore that night, known as that chemicals song, which has the title Heimdalsgate Like A Promethean Curse. myspace

Kevin Barnes is the lead vocalist Of Montreal, “I’m in a crisis, I need help.. Come on mood shift, shift back to good again.. Come on, be a friend! Chemicals, don’t flatten my mind. Chemicals, don’t mess me up this time. Know you bait me way more than you should.. And it’s just like you to hurt me when I’m feeling good”

Tegan & Sara “Sainthood”

t and sThis is to remind myself to post on Tegan & Sara’s new CD, “Sainthood”.

I am amazed at how many banners I have seen promoting their new CD though.  I was going to start making a list, but I didn’t – I’m sure it’s been on around 10 popular sites that I have seen already and it was just released.  There’s a player with the whole CD on the front page of exclaim.ca website.

Here’s their appearance on (click for popup) Conan, Nov 2. T&S took the cover of Exclaim with a full interview (which is online in completeness. ).

Anyway, I want to write more about their Cd later. I’ve only given it a quick listen so far.  Here’s a good recent interview with them on Causecast – mostly about politics and being a ‘gay band’.

Autostraddle chats with Tegan of Tegan & Sara about writing Sainthood, making eggs, throwing bras, touring Australia, playing so many standing room venues, and a little something we call “The Tegan and Sara Experience.”
